Description:
Seeking a experienced Paralegal, preferably with Medical Malpractice experience, to assist with file management and litigation support, particularly in medical malpractice and other personal injury cases within a Madison WI firm. EXCELLENT Benefits
JOB DUTIES This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Acquiring medical records, bills, accident reports, and other necessary investigative information. Maintaining follow-ups on pending medical record requests and bills. Procuring updated medical records, bills, and relevant employment and tax information. Performing file management tasks, both physical and digital using case management software. Conducting conflict checks and scheduling meetings as needed. Preparing and filing correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other file information. Processing mail and checks daily and posting expenses. Collating and updating insurance companies with information on subrogation, liens, and unpaid medical expenses. Managing communication with clients, defense attorneys, doctors, and experts. Assisting with preparation and organization of case research, legal documents, and trial preparation.
REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of legal experience, medical malpractice preferred. Paralegal Certificate preferred. Notary duties may be required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to multitask, handle large volumes of electronic information, and work independently. Strong prioritization skills, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. A team player with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure. Prior experience or knowledge of Filevine Case Management software is advantageous.
