Description:

Robert Half is recruiting a Paralegal for their law firm client in Washington DC. Details are below:
Position: Litigation/Regulatory Paralegal
Location: Washington DC
Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 or 3 days in office)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree with excellent academic credentials.
  • Paralegal certificate a PLUS.
  • Proficient Bluebook cite-checking ability.
  • Minimum of 3 years solid paralegal experience with proofreading and performing Bluebook cite-checking.

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a paralegal role.
  • Proficiency in Bluebooking is a mandatory requirement for this role.
  • Applicant must have prior experience in Cite Checking.
  • A bachelor’s degree in law or a related field is required.
  • The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • The candidate should have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is a plus.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and principles is expected.
  • The ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy is required.
  • The candidate should have the ability to conduct legal research efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of briefs and pleadings, consisting largely of cite-checking/proofreading.
  • Monitor cases and agency filings for attorneys and clients.
  • Prepare reports for attorneys and clients on industry trends, updates, and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple deadlines on competing projects.
  • Coordinate workflows with multiple lawyers and employees.
  • Report on regulatory commission meetings.
  • Respond to research requests.
  • Maintain case document databases.
  • Identify and assemble documents relevant to case issues.
  • Participate in team discussions of case strategies.
  • Assist in discovery and trial preparation.
  • Work closely with and provide general support to attorneys.
