Description:
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in Atlanta, Georgia. The role is within the legal sector and will be primarily focused on litigation, specifically medical malpractice. The successful candidate will be based at our office in downtown Peachtree Center.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare trial notebooks and other key litigation documents for court proceedings.
- Assist in trial preparation, ensuring all necessary materials and exhibits are ready and organized.
- Draft legal documents and conduct E-filing as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
- Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations to aid in understanding complex litigation cases.
- Monitor and manage legal documentation and case files, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Respond to legal inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Work collaboratively with the legal team to ensure efficient handling of cases.
- Must possess a minimum of an associate’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is required
- Knowledge and experience in Trial Preparation, Trial Notebooks, and Exhibits
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondences
- Experience in medical malpractice legal cases is highly beneficial
- Excellent research, analytical, and report drafting skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work within strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- High level of discretion and confidentiality for sensitive legal matters
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
