Description:
We are in search of a Paralegal to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage electronic discovery, participate in legal proceedings, interact with IT personnel, maintain files and databases, and conduct basic legal research. Your strong communication and database skills, coupled with your proficiency in Excel and Access, will be critical to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of electronic discovery, such as document reviews and productions.
- Participate in legal proceedings including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Collaborate with IT personnel and vendors to resolve document and discovery issues.
- File and serve motions, briefs, exhibits, appendices, and other documents in state and federal courts.
- Maintain and organize internal case databases and files.
- Organize discovery, research, pleadings, and other relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation.
- Prepare notebooks for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Conduct basic legal and internet research, extracting relevant information from a variety of resources.
- Manage and track case deadlines.
- Bluebook and cite checking.
- Prepare and coordinate the service of subpoenas.
- Must possess a strong understanding of Litigation processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Employment Law is essential
- Proven experience in Employment Law - Employer
- Familiarity with e-Discovery and Discovery techniques
- Ability to efficiently Schedule Depositions
- Experience in Trial Attendance
- Proficiency in managing Trial Exhibits
- Experience in Trial Preparation
- Ability to organize and manage Trial Notebooks
- Knowledge of Bluebooking is required
