Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Location: Washington, DC (100% on-site)
Salary : $65,000 - $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview : As a Litigation Paralegal for this esteemed firm, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team through all phases of complex commercial litigation. Your responsibilities will include managing case files, conducting legal research, and assisting in trial preparation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a paralegal with a strong background in litigation, particularly in construction or real estate, to contribute to high-profile cases and work within a dynamic team.
QUALIFICAATION:
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, with significant exposure to complex commercial litigation. Experience in construction or real estate litigation is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Familiarity with VA, MD, DC court rules and procedures is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Organize and maintain case files, including discovery documents, pleadings, and correspondence. Efficiently manage electronic and paper filing systems.
- Legal Research: Conduct detailed legal research to support case strategies. Summarize case law, statutes, and regulations pertinent to ongoing cases.
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as briefs, motions, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Discovery : Assist in the discovery process, including preparing discovery requests and responses, and organizing and reviewing documents for relevance and privilege.
- Trial Preparation : Support attorneys in preparing for trials by organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and creating trial binders.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as needed. Provide updates and gather information to support case strategies.
- Administrative Support : Schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances. Manage case deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents.
