YOUR ROLE AND WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Head, spinal cord and other serious injuries, such as those resulting in amputation, blindness and orthopaedic treatment, can be life changing. Serious injuries affect our clients in different ways; family, employment opportunities, healthcare needs and everyday quality of life. They are by nature hugely traumatic and have to be handled with the utmost care and expertise. Our serious injury solicitors pride themselves on making a real difference and we can help clients to live their life as fully as possible after a serious injury. We have years of experience helping people to access specialised rehabilitation and claim compensation for serious injuries and have specialist teams across the UK.
You’ll join Partners James Davies and Deborah Rose who lead the team of specialist serious injury Lawyers in our Bristol and Cardiff offices. The team specialises in representing children and adults who have suffered brain and/or spinal cord injuries, amputations or multiple trauma.

YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Supporting case handlers in the running of the cases by undertaking basic case work under supervision. This may include taking instructions from clients, obtaining and reviewing evidence and, where appropriate, assisting case handlers with litigation processes, to achieve appropriate resolutions for our clients.
  • Supporting with the administrative elements of case progression.
  • Achieving time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working.
  • Attending and contributing to team/practice area meetings and engaging with colleagues to ensure team objectives achieved.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in relevant law and practice and attending appropriate training events to ensure up to date legal knowledge and best practice.
  • Engaging in Business Development activities where appropriate.
