The Growth Company is seeking a Paralegal to provide legal support to the GC Group. This role involves close collaboration with the company secretary, data protection officer, in-house solicitors, procurement manager, and senior management team (SMT) members across the GC Group.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the company secretary with forms and filings at Companies House, maintaining statutory registers and drafting or amending various company documents.
- Aid the data protection officer with data protection matters.
- Provide general legal support to in-house solicitors on company and commercial law, intellectual property, employment law, etc.
- Assist with various legal agreements as required by the GC Group.
- Support with company acquisitions, mergers, and disposals, including due diligence.
- Carry out research tasks and reporting on legal and regulatory topics.
- Administer invoices and purchase orders for the legal team and review legal spend across the GC Group.
- Collaborate with the group procurement management on contract preparation.
- Perform other tasks to support the company secretary and in-house solicitors, such as liaising with finance, registering companies as charities, registering trademarks, attending, and minuting committee meetings, arranging meetings, and coordinating diaries.
About You:
- Paralegal with previous general commercial experience gained in-house or in private practice.
- Ability to work confidently both independently and within a team environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a varied workload and balance competing demands.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to analyse processes and procedures and apply data protection legislation to ensure legal compliance.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office systems (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage simultaneous tasks and work well in a busy environment.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Researching and reporting on legal and regulatory topics.
- Experience or understanding of data protection.
- Carrying out due diligence.
- Company secretarial experience.
