QUALIFICATIONS:

PARAMEDIC CARE (181.AO)• Diploma (DEC), AEC, or equivalent* degree or diploma in the Paramedic or Pre-Hospital Emergency Care field

• Active paramedic license
• Minimum of five years full-time equivalent providing patient care
• Bilingual – English and French
• Ability to collaborate within a departmental team to achieve common objectives

IN ADDITION TO ABOVE, SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO BE THE LEAD TEACHER OF EMERGENCY VEHICLE DRIVING 181-601-AB OR EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATION 181-612-AB:

• Authorized to issue the 4A (Emergency Vehicle) certificate to candidates, where required
• Experience in a Traffic Safety Department for ambulances would be an asset
• Ambulance investigation experience would be an asset
• A minimum of five years ambulance field experience
• A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in the Paramedic Care/Pre-Hospital Emergency Care field
• Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems
