POSITION TITLE: Parent-Child Interaction Therapist, Clinician (Bringing Families Together)
DEPARTMENT: Community Programs
OPERATIONAL BASE: Miller and Fairfield

STATUS: 16 hrs week, contract ends June 30, 2026

Responsibilities:
PRIMARY FUNCTION & PURPOSE
The PCIT clinician plays a pivotal role within the Community Programs team, in the Miller 2168 postcode.
The primary responsibility of the role involves delivering specialized Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) interventions within the community. This includes conducting one-on-one PCIT coaching sessions, facilitating both online and face-to-face groups, and implementing Parent Child Interaction Therapy - Toddler (PCIT-T) techniques as needed. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, the PCIT Clinician contributes unique skills and expertise. They assist in referral allocation, contribute to family management plans, handle complex case escalation, and provide support to their team where necessary.
Additionally, the role entails active participation in community engagement initiatives. The clinician is tasked with cultivating essential stakeholder relationships, fostering collaboration between services, and ensuring families receive comprehensive care and tailored support that addresses their specific needs.
The workload of the PCIT Clinician is diverse, encompassing community outreach activities and clinic-based interventions. They receive clinical supervision and support directly from the PICHMS Manager and Toddler Clinic, ensuring high-quality delivery of PCIT treatment and ongoing professional development.
