JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Parking Maintenance Assistant
REPORTS TO: Parking Maintenance Supervisor.
DEPARTMENT: Parking & Transportation
CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal Full Time
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
- Strong written communication and verbal skills
- Dependable and timely.
- Neat appearance.
- Positive attitude - this job is guest oriented as the Parking Lot employees are the first to encounter our guests.
- Valid drivers license.
- Can operate some heavy equipment.
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
- High School Graduate
- Minimum of 18 years of age
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous equipment experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting in design, set up and ongoing maintenance for safe and orderly parking. This position requires consistent communication with the Parking Maintenance Supervisor and the Transportation/Parking Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide a safe environment for both employees and guests.
- Requires positive guest service for employees and guests.
- Strong communication skills with Parking Operations Supervisor
- Assists in parking lots set up and appearance.
- Assists with trash pickup
- Maintain parking lot equipment such as signs, barricades, etc.
- Assist guests with any problems encountered in parking lots.
- Request snow removal as needed.
- Communicates with local towing companies.
- Maintains and cleans provided vehicles.
- Assists Lift Operations and Guests Services when required.
- Perform other duties or projects assigned by Mountain Services Director.
- Oversees sanding of lots and roadways. Capable of operating and training on sanding truck and 426 endloader.
