JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Parking Maintenance Assistant
REPORTS TO: Parking Maintenance Supervisor.
DEPARTMENT: Parking & Transportation
CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal Full Time
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:

  • Strong written communication and verbal skills
  • Dependable and timely.
  • Neat appearance.
  • Positive attitude - this job is guest oriented as the Parking Lot employees are the first to encounter our guests.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Can operate some heavy equipment.

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:

  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum of 18 years of age

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for assisting in design, set up and ongoing maintenance for safe and orderly parking. This position requires consistent communication with the Parking Maintenance Supervisor and the Transportation/Parking Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide a safe environment for both employees and guests.
  • Requires positive guest service for employees and guests.
  • Strong communication skills with Parking Operations Supervisor
  • Assists in parking lots set up and appearance.
  • Assists with trash pickup
  • Maintain parking lot equipment such as signs, barricades, etc.
  • Assist guests with any problems encountered in parking lots.
  • Request snow removal as needed.
  • Communicates with local towing companies.
  • Maintains and cleans provided vehicles.
  • Assists Lift Operations and Guests Services when required.
  • Perform other duties or projects assigned by Mountain Services Director.
  • Oversees sanding of lots and roadways. Capable of operating and training on sanding truck and 426 endloader.
