UPP Global is a growing full-service parking management company with expertise in all verticals of parking. We are currently interviewing reliable and responsible candidates for the full-time Maintenance Attendant position in Burlington, VT.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00am start
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter who possesses a strong, “can-do” attitude about the day-to-day tasks assigned. We’re looking for a reliable, disciplined operator who understands the importance of doing things with integrity, and has the ability to move quickly between numerous locations while efficiently completing assigned work.
  • Starting pay ranges from $17.50-$22.00 an hour and will be dependent on skills, attitude, and experience. Potential for a raise after probationary period for strong performers.
    Job Summary and Responsibilities:
    Facility Maintenance: The maintenance position is responsible for ensuring our properties are kept clean and safe. This includes but is not limited to removal of all trash and waste and light-to-medium landscaping. Facilities Maintenance works in any and all weather conditions using company-issued outerwear to complete tasks in challenging environments with a good attitude. This position reports directly to the Portfolio Manager.

Listed Duties:

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, parkers, co-workers, and clients
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness in all job functions
  • Walk, sweep, or hose down the parking lot areas, sidewalks, and walkways. Maintain walkways as required to keep them free of snow, ice or other environmental hazards. Use slip and fall markers where appropriate.
  • Walk grounds each shift and maintain grounds by collecting observable trash from the ground and treating pest sites with designated pesticides. Empty exterior garbage receptacles as needed.
  • Ensure that all dirt, dust, litter, and debris are removed from all areas of the facility.
  • General landscaping duties as needed and depending on season
  • Using company vehicle, patrol locations and adhere to a route based on day and time to identify and cite vehicles parked in violation of lot guidelines.
  • Manage lot signage, for example: taking down, repairing, and assembling signs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, driving and being active for most of the day. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs.
  • Must possess current drivers’ license that has been held for at least 3 consecutive years.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to undergo a criminal background check and motor vehicle report (MVR) check High school degree or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and through written correspondence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally under challenging circumstances or winter weather conditions.
