Do you have a passion for the City of Sydney’s parks and the opportunities they provide for green, connected and vibrant local communities? We are looking for an experienced Parks Operations Supervisor to assist the City Greening and Leisure Team in delivering our objectives as an asset manager in ensuring the City’s network of parks, assets and recreational facilities are well maintained.
The primary responsibilities of the role are to supervise the parks operations teams to meet the needs of the community, to maintain the quality of the City’s parks and open spaces assets to the highest standard, manage key relationships with management, team members, the general public and other business units.
The role will be instrumental in delivering the Sustainable Sydney 2030 - 2050 directions and targets for parks assets by ensuring service delivery and compliance objectives are met, by delivering environmental outcomes and improved sustainability performance, and through continual improvements ensure effective and efficient work procedures.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • minimum Certificate III in Amenity Horticulture (Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Greenkeeping) or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • practical experience in the planning, scheduling and delivery of all Parks Operations activities
  • supervision experience and ability to manage performance through coaching and mentoring
  • experience in achieving objectives and targets effectively and efficiently.
