ABOUT THE ROLE
A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Leading Hand to join Waipā District Council. The successful candidate will work alongside our Te Awamutu Parks & Reserves Supervisor, leading a team of Parks Operators and Sextons, who are responsible for maintaining our parks, gardens, sports fields and public cemeteries. Our teams work 7.30am - 4.00pm, Monday - Friday. This role starts and finishes the day at our Te Awamutu Depot.
To be successful in this role, we think you’ll need:
- Significant experience with horticulture and horticultural plant and equipment;
- Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements and processes (although you will have expert support from a dedicated H&S Advisor); and
- A genuine desire to inspire, support and grow staf
