Summary:
This is a new position being created under the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property’s (PIJIP) externally funded Project on Copyright and the Right to Research. The Academic Network Coordinator will assist with efforts to commission and review papers from the Global Network on Copyright User Rights, organize meetings of the academic network, coordinate trainings and workshops for project fellows, and provide research and technical support to the project.
Essential Functions:

The incumbent will:

  • Provide legal research to the project team.
  • Coordinate research teams and products.
  • Organize and edit research papers and book projects.
  • Liaise between the project and the academic network; organize academic network meetings and agenda; track and manage research needs
  • Attend A2K meetings and identify research needs to distribute through research networks
  • Develop and maintain an application form to help the project commission research
  • Assist in tracking, compiling, and returning research papers to PIJIP
  • Attend and assist with the annual the User Rights Symposium
  • Travel to attend select meetings of the academic network at the discretion of the PI

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a part-time, fully grant-funded position.

Salary Range:

  • $30 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.
