QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of office clerical and data entry experience.
- 2 years of client service experience.
- Must have access to transportation to travel locally on Long Island.
- May be required to work flexible hours as needs arise.
Schedule: part-time – 21 hours per week
This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
Responsibilities:
- Determine income eligibility for the Program.
- Enter all demographic information into NYWIC to begin the enrollment process. Update as needed.
- Write clear, concise, appropriate notes in NYWIC to inform other staff of pertinent information and advise staff when income will need to be reassessed, according to NYS WIC income policy.
Prepare and maintain participant files. Ensure appropriate documents are included in files as well as
as entered, electronically.
Maintain accurate participation records including daily number of clients served and tally new enrollees.
- Place reminder calls/texts the day before scheduled WIC appointments. Contact all participants who
missed their appointment to reschedule, and Inform them of any documents required for next appointment.
- Work at all sites as needed, and attend all trainings as scheduled by supervisor.
