We are presently accepting resumes for 1 Permanent Part-Time Support Worker to work on in our group homes in Barrie.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in the Human Services field (including, but not limited to: Developmental Service Worker, Social Service Worker, Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Bachelor of Social Work, Personal Support Worker, etc.);
  • When submitting your resume and cover letter, please also upload a copy of your diplomas / degrees. In your resume, please ensure that you specify the length of your programs;
  • Candidates who have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people;
  • Availability for days, weekends, and statutory holidays;
  • As a condition of hire, candidates must be willing to provide a current, clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening and a pre-employment medical;
  • A valid “Class G” driver’s license and reliable transportation are considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

Our Direct Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities may include providing support during overnight shifts, personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances. You may also support people to appointments or events to foster connections within the community.
