Description:
Realstar is seeking a Leasing Agent to join our team at one of our properties in Calgary. This part-time role involves working on-site three days a week, with occasional weekend shifts. The successful candidate will report directly to the Resident Manager and will be responsible for the whole leasing cycle, from booking showings and qualifying prospective residents to assisting with lease documentation and preparing vacant suites for new residents. Additionally, the role involves maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction among current residents, handling general inquiries, and managing office administration tasks using our in-house software systems.

The Opportunity

Assistant Property Managers play an important role in the successful operation of a residential rental building under our management.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage appointments for property showings
- Communicate and follow up on inquiries from prospective residents, providing necessary information
- Handle leasing and administrative tasks within the property management office
- Compile, update, and summarize reports on suite vacancies, lockers and parking spaces
- Assess and qualify prospective residents by understanding their needs and ensuring suitability
- Conduct credit checks, reference checks, and verify employment history for potential residents
- Monitor competitive properties through phone inquiries and market surveys
- Assist in coordinating resident events, such as social gatherings.
- Support the Resident Manager in executing marketing initiatives and development incentives
Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in sales
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Maintain a professional and presentable appearance at all times
- Strong command of MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Self starter with high degree of initiative, creativity and flexibility
- Experience with leasing apartments or selling condominiums an asset
