KEY DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

You will also be responsible for but not limited to;

• Dealing with a variety of property and construction related disputes.
• Supervising and training other solicitors and members of the team on dispute work.
• Offering training and working with other departments within the business to formulate effective dispute procedures and management.
• Corresponding with litigants.
• Providing strategic legal solutions and high-quality legal advice.
• Drafting statements of case.
• Representing the business at court on lower value disputes.
• Liaising with external solicitors to manage high value, complex claims.
• Instructing senior and junior counsel and attending conference with counsel on higher value dispute work.
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders to build robust cases and resolve disputes effectively.
• Providing updates and reports to the regional teams, the General Counsel and the Executive.
• Developing a network of personal contacts across the Avant Homes operating area.

To be considered for the role you must also evidence;

• A minimum 8 years PQE.
• Supervisory and training skills.
• The ability to manage multiple caseloads at any one time.
• Demonstratable technical experience gained within the Property Litigation field.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
