WHO YOU ARE:

You are looking for a career in Customer Service and:

• Experience in customer service or relevant meat experience is an asset.
• Co-operative retail experience is an asset.
• You must be available for days, evenings and weekends
• Must be comfortable working with different types of equipment such as computerized wrapping machines, meat slicers, pricing equipment, step ladders, etc.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good manual dexterity and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work regularly in cooler temperatures due to products in department.

• A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered

Provide safe, courteous, efficient and customer-focused service in our Meat Department.

• Responsible for packaging, wrapping, displaying and pricing of meat products for sale to customers. Ensures meats are packaged a timely fashion while maintaining product levels for quality and quantity
• Maintains and ensures compliance with Discovery Co-op standards, government food and sanitation, health and safety standards.
• Ensures all guests are provided with a prompt, professional, accurate, efficient and friendly service.
• To perform duties and responsibilities of a receiver
• To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
• To be dependable for all scheduled shifts
• To ensure outstanding courteous guest service is provided at all times
• To perform other duties as assigned
