Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Part-Time Medical Receptionist in Fairport, New York. The selected candidate will be a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing front desk support, managing patient records, and ensuring efficient operations within the clinic.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling inbound calls and inquiries with professionalism
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures for patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurately completed
  • Process billing functions and collect copays from patients as required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software
  • Utilize various healthcare software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, Eaglesoft, and EHR SYSTEM for efficient operations
  • Generate and interpret charts and graphs as needed to track patient progress and assist with healthcare decisions
  • Ensure all patient inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and thoroughly.
  • Proficiency in answering inbound calls in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Experience in handling billing functions and managing financial transactions
  • Ability to create, read, and interpret charts and graphs
  • Skilled in checking patients in and out of the facility
  • Familiarity with using electronic medical record systems
  • Experience in managing and processing copays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office software
  • High school diploma or equivalent education level
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
