Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Hours per week: Up to 24 hours per week (current hours anticipated to be 24 hours per week)
Status: Part-time (Temporary Replacement)
This is a temporary replacement position for a bargaining unit employee. Terms and conditions of employment are as outlined in the Part-time Support Staff Collective Agreement.
Located in Barrie and reporting to the Manager, Client Services, the incumbent assists with the daily operations and promotion of the Student Campus Identification (photo ID) Card program for the college.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Successfully completed a two-year postsecondary diploma in a relevant study that may include, but is not limited to, business or office administration
  • Two years of experience in a role where duties include marketing/promotions and customer service
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Student Information Systems would be an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of graphic design software (i.e. Adobe Illustrator)
  • Must have excellent customer service, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to work with various partners and to promote the ONEcard services
  • Experience promoting / marketing using social media, specifically within Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Experience working in an environment with numerous interruptions and distractions
  • Experience with accepting payments via cash, debit or credit
  • Experience working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment, time management/organizational skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours (some weekends and evenings) and must have the ability to travel to various vendors and other campuses as required

Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Operations:

  • Providing front-line customer service as the first point of contact for ONEcard
  • Responding to student, partner and vendor inquiries regarding ONEcard account status, usage, and assisting cardholders with technical issues or problems
  • Coordinating and printing student ONEcards (ad hoc and batch process) and preparing them for distribution
  • Activating and deactivating cards
  • Tracking and ordering ONEcard supplies for three campuses
  • Processing ONEcard refunds for withdrawn/graduated students upon their request
  • Investigating disputed charges
  • Assisting with activities related to testing ONEcard modules
  • Documenting processes, work instructions, etc.
  • Supporting start of term activities and other special projects
  • Reporting trends in inquiries and incidents
  • Suggesting ways to improve services to students and value proposition for vendors
  • Assisting with providing current and up-to-date information to staff regarding ONEcard services
  • Providing back-up support for ONEcard Officer
  • Providing back-up support for ONEcard team members and the Welcome Centre staff

Promotion and Social Media:

  • Developing and executing advertising and promotional opportunities which includes information booths, module demonstrations across various campuses, contests, and social media postings
  • Promoting ONEcard at college events which includes scheduling, setting up, and running promotion booths at various campuses which may include evenings or weekends
  • Monitoring and responding to comments on social media accounts for ONEcard and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Drafting marketing materials, obtaining print quotes, and coordinating production of print materials
  • Referring students to online tools and resources (website, FAQs, etc.)
  • Interacting with vendors as required for marketing events
  • Participating in events such as Open House and Get Connected
