Description:
Evergreen Cultural Centre is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic team. As the Junior Payroll Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the organization, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our employees’ payroll.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting or business administration is an asset
- 1 year of experience in a payroll or accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time-management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Reliable and flexible, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities:
- Collect and verify employee timesheets to ensure accurate hour tracking
- Enter all payroll data into the system and make any necessary adjustments
- Process payroll on a weekly basis and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records for all employees
- Respond to employee inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll
- Assist with compiling and preparing payroll reports for management as needed
