Description:

Evergreen Cultural Centre is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic team. As the Junior Payroll Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the organization, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our employees’ payroll.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting or business administration is an asset
  • 1 year of experience in a payroll or accounting role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Reliable and flexible, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and verify employee timesheets to ensure accurate hour tracking
  • Enter all payroll data into the system and make any necessary adjustments
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
  • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records for all employees
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll
  • Assist with compiling and preparing payroll reports for management as needed
