Note:This is a part-time temporary Faculty position (up to 6 hours per week) starting October 07, 2024, and ending April 30, 2025.
The School of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified individual for a temporary Part-time Faculty position up to 6 hours per week in the Winter term 2025 and up to 60 hours to develop the online course for student-facing site course development. This course developer temporary position is scheduled to begin in October 2024 and will focus on developing MRI courses for our online student-facing platform.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing comprehensive MRI courses tailored for online learning
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure course content aligns with academic standards and student needs

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners from different backgrounds
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with various technologies
  • Related industry work experience
  • Previous post-secondary teaching experience (hybrid and/or online delivery) and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Diagnostic Medical Imaging field of study
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is an asset
  • Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience recruiting MRI subject matter experts
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Available to teach in the following areas: Patient Care and Safety for MRI, Procedures and Research in MRI, Pathology for MRI, Applied Science for MRI, Clinical Practicum
  • Currently practicing clinically in MRI with recent and relevant years of clinical experience required
  • Clinical/didactic teaching experience in MRI is preferred
  • Previous accreditation experience in a clinical and/or educational environment is an asset
