Description:
HYBRID WORK: THESE POSITIONS REQUIRE ON-SITE PRESENCE AND ARE NOT SUBJECT TO HYBRID WORK.
Note: This position is located at the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus, 120 Bill Martyn Parkway, St. Thomas, Ontario.
Note: These are less than full-time temporary Faculty positions starting January 6, 2025, and ending April 2025.
The St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus is seeking a qualified part-time temporary Faculty for the Fall semester to teach in the Construction Project Management – Essentials of Construction program (with a focus on estimation and familiarity with WinEst and Bluebeam software applications).
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- A combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Superior computer skills and a familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Experience with hybrid and online teaching preferred
- Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and student evaluations are assets
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary 3-year BA in a related subject and/or Certificate of Qualification in a related trade
- Background in engineering, architecture or actively working in the construction industry with a focus on estimation required
- Minimum 3 years’ recent and relevant experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Familiarity with WinEst and Bluebeam software applications
- Strong computer skills and a familiarity with educational technologies are required
