Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting early September 2024 and ending late December 2024.
The Donald J. Smith School of Building Technology is looking for qualified part-time Professors to teach courses in the Electrical Apprenticeship program.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
- Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in relevant discipline
- Electrician license required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential, commercial and/or industrial sectors
- Flexible availability for class on-campus and online
