Nous sommes à la recherche d’un(e) adjoint(e) juridique bilingue pour soutenir notre équipe de litige au bureau de Montréal. En tant que membre clé de notre équipe, vous jouerez un rôle essentiel en offrant un soutien administratif de qualité et en contribuant au succès de nos mandats juridiques. Vous travaillerez en collaboration étroite avec nos avocats pour assurer une exécution rigoureuse et efficace des tâches qui vous seront confiées.
Mode de travail : Ce poste offre un environnement hybride, combinant 3 jours au bureau et 2 jours de télétravail par semaine, pour vous permettre de bénéficier d’un équilibre optimal entre travail et vie personnelle.

COMPÉTENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum de 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en tant qu’adjoint(e) juridique, idéalement en litige;
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Word et de la suite Microsoft 365;
  • Excellente maîtrise du français, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, et très bonne connaissance de l’anglais pour des échanges et correspondances quotidiennes avec les clients hors Québec;
  • Connaissance et utilisation des banques de données en ligne, telles que Soquij, Registre foncier, RDPRM, Bureau du surintendant des faillites, etc.
  • Connaissance des règles de pratique juridique;
  • Solides compétences en communication et capacité à interagir de manière professionnelle avec les intervenants;
  • Sens de l’organisation, de la gestion des priorités et capacité à travailler sous pression;
  • Autonomie, débrouillardise et discrétion;
  • La maîtrise des logiciels Maître et iManage constitue un atout;
  • Statut de commissaire à l’assermentation, un atout.

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a bilingual legal assistant to support our litigation team in the Montreal office. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in providing quality administrative support and contributing to the success of our legal mandates. You will work closely with our lawyers to ensure tasks are carried out rigorously and efficiently.
Work Mode: This position offers a hybrid environment, combining 3 days in the office and 2 days teleworking per week, to enable you to benefit from an optimal work-life balance.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Drafting and editing letters and legal documents.
  • Serving and filing legal procedures.
  • Managing procedural schedules and court deadlines.
  • Managing and tracking agenda reminders.
  • Communicating with judicial stakeholders.
  • Preparing litigation files, including procedure, evidence, and case law binders.
  • Opening, organizing, and maintaining paper and electronic files.
  • Entering data into various systems, such as billing, time entries, and expenses.
  • Conducting conflict of interest searches when opening new files, following internal procedures.
  • Preparing expense reports.
  • Preparing and sending invoices to clients.
  • Assisting with other related tasks as required by the litigation team.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who can integrate into a dynamic team and actively contribute to its success.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a legal assistant, ideally in litigation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, and strong proficiency in English for daily communication and correspondence with clients outside Quebec.
  • Familiarity with online databases, such as Soquij, Registre foncier, RDPRM, Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, etc.
  • Knowledge of legal practice rules and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Autonomy, resourcefulness, and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Maître and iManage software is an asset.
  • Commissioner of Oaths certification is an asset.
