Description:
We are looking to appoint a part-time research administrator/PA (50% FTE) to support Professor Charles Newton and his research group. Professor Newton is the Cheryl and Reece Scott Professor of Psychiatry and conducts research in Oxford and sub-Saharan Africa and India focussing on autism, neurodevelopmental disorders and epilepsy, but including other mental health disorders. The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded to 30 September 2027).
You will deal with a wide range of matters including diary management and travel arrangements, travel expenses and meeting arrangements. You will help with production of presentations and papers, collating information for completion, proof reading and formatting, as well as with the preparation and submission of grant applications.
You will be qualified to A level standard or equivalent, and have previous relevant administrative experience, and a good level of IT literacy and advanced knowledge of MS Office. You will have excellent communication and organisation skill and attention to detail, and proven ability to prioritise and manage a defined workload and be self-motived and proactive.
