Description:
Gough and Kelly, an NSI Gold company, is a premier provider of security products and services and has served the north of England for over three decades.
We now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Officer to join the team, to provide security services to a site in York.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
- 1 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with the general public and engage/advise when necessary
- Ability to deal with uncertainty
- Strong surveillance skills
- Professionalism
- A full, clean, UK driving licence (preferred but not essential) and own transportation to site

Responsibilities:
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Conducts locks and unlocks
- Responds immediately to any disturbances
- Obtains help by sounding alarms
- Prevents any losses and damage by reporting irregularities
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Liaises with the in-house team
