This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work 10+ hours/week during the academic year
  • Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Fargo, North Dakota, on a daily basis year-round
  • Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering or computer science: others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
  • Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior standing students are preferred, Senior standing and those pursuing Advanced degrees may apply.
  • Graduation date of December 2025 or later

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a PL Part-Time Student-Product Engineering for John Deere - ISG located in Fargo, ND, you will….

  • Work closely with supervisor or other engineering personnel to support product testing, design and review.
  • Support the maintenance of documentation for each design in a neat and organized fashion for approval by superior and other engineering personnel.
  • Performs other engineering tasks as directed under the supervision of an engineering supervisor or mentor.
  • Both on the job and classroom training will be provided.
