Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals to live independently, manage their mental health, and achieve their personal goals. Working closely with a team of healthcare professionals, you will provide practical and emotional support, promote recovery, and assist with day-to-day activities tailored to each person’s needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide person-centered support: Empower individuals to manage their mental health, build resilience, and develop self-care routines.
  • Assist with daily activities: Support with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, medication management, budgeting, and attending appointments.
  • Promote social inclusion: Facilitate community involvement and social opportunities to reduce isolation and build meaningful connections.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Work alongside psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other support staff to create and implement care plans.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records, write progress notes, and report concerns or changes in an individual’s mental health condition.
