Description:
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a part-time Teaching Fellow to support our post graduate Teach First cohorts to become the next generation of teachers by supporting their Masters level (Level 7) assignments as they work towards toward their PGDE or PGCE academic awards. The role will include providing support for students’ academic work at Masters level, marking and providing feedback on formative and summative assessment at Masters level, and implementing reasonable adjustments for trainees and ECTs while completing their academic studies. (This is a part-time 0.6 Fixed Term contract)
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Whilst Teach First provides the training, the university is responsible for providing support that will enable them to complete the academic studies at Masters level. This support will include creating a toolkit of Music assignment resources that develop trainees Masters level skills; providing formative and summative feedback on assignments to support them in their practice and academic studies; and supporting trainees needing reasonable adjustments in the completion of the academic assignments.
This will be underpinned by your knowledge and use of cutting-edge research and practice in music secondary classrooms. You will be responsible for supporting the Teach First music trainees to become the next generation of research informed practitioners, on their journey to completing their academic studies, for a PGCE or PGDE. You will give them the tools to support the students in school who are being denied the opportunities they need to thrive in school, in music, through the support of the academic assignments of the programme.
