Description:

REQUIREMENTS AND PROFILE SOUGHT

  • Have significant experience of at least 3 years in a similar position;
  • Post-secondary studies in human resources or a related field;
  • The CRHA title or in the process of obtaining it is an asset;
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of HR policies and procedures, benefits and labor relations;
  • Demonstrated skills in facilitation, verbal and written communication as well as superior interpersonal and organizational skills required to provide training and coaching to teams and individuals at all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment within specified deadlines and where attention to detail and effective multitasking are essential;
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Manufacturing experience required (an asset);
  • Experience with health and safety initiatives (Prior experience as a member of a health and safety committee required);
  • Health and safety certification or similar experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Talent and Development Business Partner, your primary responsibility is to support our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You provide support and coordination in the uniform and effective application of Human Resources policies, procedures and practices for all team members. Responsibilities include employee relations, health and safety, recruiting, training, time and attendance management and other tasks as needed. Prior human resources experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Actively work as a liaison between the operations, talent and development teams and team members (full-time and from staffing agencies) ;
  • Oversee all communications with staffing agencies and assist Operations, Shift, Group and Team Leaders in building relationships with all team members;
  • Oversee the implementation of Wonderbrands policies, protocols and new initiatives, and communicate details;
  • Work with the Health and Safety team and promote a Health and Safety culture by participating in training and committee meetings;
  • Work closely with each plant’s operations managers to determine their current and future staffing needs;
  • Manage all training documents for key roles;
  • In collaboration with all key stakeholders, investigate and resolve all issues;
  • In collaboration with Operations Leaders, assist and participate in the process of progressive disciplinary measures related to team members;
  • Work with management to assist and participate in performance reviews related to team members;
  • Participate in projects of the Talent and Development and Operations teams, as needed;
  • Manage and participate in internal job creation postings;
  • Coaching and support for operations leaders on practices and management of the collective agreement;
  • Drive team member engagement and implement initiatives to make improvements (TMEC);
  • In collaboration with all key stakeholders, resolve problems and meet challenges related to daily operations;
  • Organization and management of labor relations committees;
  • Grievance management in collaboration with the labor relations team.
