The Partner - Corporate Strategy & Partnerships is a key role working in close collaboration with the Head of Corporate Strategy to advise the CEO of Westpac New Zealand and the executive leadership team on driving, assessing, and prioritising the company’s long-term strategic direction and growth across its diverse portfolio.
In this influential position, you will be at the forefront of driving new business growth through identifying, assessing and recommending opportunities for expansion through the development of new partnerships, organic growth, and/ or acquisitions. Your expertise will be essential in providing strategic guidance and recommendations to senior leaders on key business decisions, including Partnerships and equity investments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives, all while monitoring and assessing their progress, identifying potential risks and recommending adjustments as needed.
The role requires strategic thinker with exceptional decision-making abilities, deep expertise in financial services and a proven history of successfully evaluating and implementing new business development and partnership opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of Westpac New Zealand, driving innovation and growth in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • 7 - 10 years financial services experience at a top-tier consulting firm and/or internal strategy department for a high growth organisation
  • A strong track record in evaluating and implementing successful strategic recommendations
  • A strong track record in evaluating and implementing successful new business development and partnering opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Presentation skills to Board level quality and proven Executive level stakeholder management experience.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
