What You’ll Need

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in partner management or business development, investment banking and consulting. Preference for experience in EMEA markets.
  • Clear experience and track-record of closing and managing complex partnerships, that are strategically important and you’ve helped cultivate new initiatives from these relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with internal, cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) as well as external organizations including strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to multi-task and navigate multiple partner engagements simultaneously.
  • Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to structure and lead complex, multifaceted deals
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel proficienc

Responsibilities:

As a Supply&Vehicles Business Development Associate, you’ll have the opportunity to be an intricate part of the team that is responsible for scaling usage of the Uber platform amongst millions of consumers in the EMEA region through deal-making.
The EMEA BD Supply Partnerships team is a small but mighty team who drive long-term impact for the Mobility LOB by doing partnerships with leading companies in Fleets (Employment, RevShare, RtB, Rentals), Vehicle access (OEMs), Financing (banks) spaces.
We drive innovation and unlock growth via partnerships to achieve three main objectives:
(1) increase supply available on the Uber platform
(2) increase Uber’s profitability and
(3) accelerate Uber’s platform strategy.
You will serve as an integral driver of the Uber Business Development team in helping to realize the overall plan in the region.

What You’ll Do

  • You’ll drive a strategic business development plan across EMEA target markets and ensure it’s in line with the overall Uber strategic direction, especially Fleets, Vehicles, Financing and other Supply focus areas.
  • You’ll execute on Uber’s top vehicle partnership opportunities across EMEA, working with various cross-functional teams to build deal terms and drive contracts to closure, and then manage these key relationships to extract maximum value for both Uber and its partners over the long-term.
  • Support the evolution of the long-term partnership vision by creating new ways to add to existing partnerships. You’ll be making those not so obvious connections that drive innovative products and initiatives to grow our business, based on data and insights.
  • Perform data analysis to evaluate current partnerships (quantitative and qualitative) and work with data science team to Build queries and easy to use data visualisation tools for EMEA Supply deals to ensure data at the fingertips
  • Run health checks” by program to enable bar raising across deal and identify and propose new areas of impact either in existing portfolio or new players; Working with XFN teams (Ops, Finance, Legal, Marketing) and the regional BD team to ensure full review of deals
  • Work with BD S&P and Data analytics team globally to ensure single data sources and coordinated messaging
  • Support Supply BD Leads in building strategy and running EMEA Vehicles program consistency across countries and regions including QBR preparations for leadership
