Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Account Manage a portfolio of existing 3 rd party developer partners
  • Understand the regional requirements by working with regional stakeholders
  • Identifying potential 3rd party developer partners who can fill product gaps/regional requirements and work with the relevant teams to ensure a successful implementation of the solutions to the market.
  • The individual will have full responsibility and accountability for driving new revenue innovations from the developer community and for building strong mutually beneficial relationships to foster quality introductions
  • Support, negotiate and structure commercial deals of varying complexity. Must have experience creating business cases and presenting to all levels of management. In addition, have experience with contracts and be comfortable working with various internal groups including product, finance and legal
  • Working understanding of Travelport products used by Developers i.e. Smartpoint, APIs, Smartpoint SDK, Marketplace and ability to consult developers on these.
  • Must create visibility and build relationships in the travel technology industry community as well as internally amongst commercial teams.
  • It is essential for the individual to be comfortable in a team environment and work with various members of senior management
  • Support solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel and our 3 rd party partners
  • Maintain awareness of the competitive position of Travelport products in the region and provide feedback to the content portfolio/product leads.
  • Regularly interacts with executives and/or major 3 rd party partners
  • Interactions may involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading more senior level managers
  • Communicates effectively with other departments to ensure strategies are understood and supported by colleagues
  • Demonstrates a high level of commitment to the job and is always prepared to put in extra time and effort to get the job done
  • Is consistent and reliable. Communicates openly and effectively to build on trust
  • Have sound working relationships within a team environment

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN THIS ROLE:

  • Experience of global company environment within the travel industry having progressively taken on increasing levels of responsibility
  • Commercially savvy with technical development experience preferable
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the travel industry
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and creating value-added 3rd party relationships with outstanding communication, presentation and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure with demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, resourceful, generate strategic insights and new business ideas
  • Strong analytical thinking and clear communication skills to present content to various audiences – senior management, sales, technical and support staff, internally and externally
  • Strong initiative and follow through skills with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrates ability to manage and deliver on times against multiple priorities
  • Excellent relationship building skills with a good understanding of different cultures and how to work with them to deliver results
