HYBRID WORK MODEL

For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office at least one day a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.
Job Description
The Partnership Manager, Solutions Engineer plays a critical role in managing and optimizing data and technology partnerships that are integral to the company’s solutions. Reporting to the VP of Solutions Engineering, this role acts as a bridge between the Go-To-Market teams, Product and Services teams, and the Strategic Channels & Corporate Development team. The Partnerships Manager, Solutions Engineer is responsible for representing Solutions Engineering in partner vetting and pilot management, ensuring effective post-contract partnership management, and establishing processes for onboarding and managing partnerships.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership management, solutions engineering, or a related role.
  • Experience managing technology and data partnerships.
  • Knowledge of technology ecosystems, preferably with experience in areas such as cloud computing or software solutions.
  • Familiarity with Product Compliance, Product Stewardship, and Sustainable Product market drivers is desireable.
  • Awareness of supply chain sustainability challenges and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of solutions engineering and its role within a technology-driven organization.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across different teams and levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and implement processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness in partnership management

Responsibilities:

  • Vetting and Pilot Management:
  • Lead the Solutions Engineering team’s involvement in partner vetting and pilot projects within the scope of data and technology supporting Assent’s solutions
  • Manage the execution of pilots within the scope of data and technology supporting Assent’s solutions, ensuring alignment with company goals and successful outcomes.
  • Engage and coordinate with other team members as needed to support pilot initiatives and ensure comprehensive evaluation.
  • Post-Contract Partnership Management:
  • Manage the relationship with partners, within the scope of data and technology supporting Assent’s solutions, post-contract, ensuring that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the partner’s role, project plans, KPIs, and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee the ongoing delivery of partnership commitments, ensuring that partners, within the scope of data and technology supporting Assent’s solutions, meet their responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding partnership management within the scope of data and technology.
  • Process and Procedure Development:
  • Establish and continuously improve processes and procedures for onboarding new partnerships, within the scope of data and technology supporting Assent’s solutions, ensuring a smooth and effective integration.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes for managing partnerships, , within the scope of data and technology supporting Assent’s solutions, including access, security, and other critical considerations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder groups across the organization to ensure that partnership management practices, within the scope of data and technology supporting Assent’s solutions, are aligned with company policies and objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Solutions Engineering team and other departments, focusing on ensuring seamless communication and coordination for the partnerships critical to our solutions.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Go-To-Market teams, and Services teams to ensure that strategies and activities related to these partnerships are aligned with overall business goals.
  • Ensure close alignment and cooperation with the Strategic Channels & Corporate Development team to maintain consistency in partnership management, from vetting and piloting to post-contract execution, ensuring that the strategic vision and goals are fully integrated into partnership activities.
