Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of the Partnerships Account Manager is to ensure that Experience Melbourne maximises its sponsorship opportunities through effective and efficient administration of the Event Partnership Program (EPP) including contract negotiation and key account management. The Partnerships Account Manager plays a key role in building relationships with partners/stakeholders to ensure events are successfully supported and that council receives benefits that are commensurate to the level of investment.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline and/or experience in the areas of sponsorship, events and/or marketing.
  • Understanding of the role of sponsorship in delivering against wider organisational objectives including experience in using rigorous measurement and evaluation systems, as well as Implementation of sponsorship activation programs.
  • Excellent personal communication skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships, manage stakeholder relationships, negotiate and influence outcomes and represent the City of Melbourne at internal and external meetings and functions.
  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads and coordinate and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to research, prepare and deliver correspondence, reports and presentations.
