The purpose of the finance team is to be at the heart of helping the business improve. Over the last few years, the firm has invested in the function, adding skills to allow finance to work more closely with the business, supporting strategic decision making whilst protecting the partners (who are the owners of the business) from risk through the implementation of a stronger control environment.
The Finance team are an integral part of the firm and the Central Management Team. The team is responsible for managing the firm’s finance function in all areas: from credit control, to accounts payable, expenses, management accounting, billing, payroll, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, as well as business partnering with the firm’s fee earning departments.
We work with all areas of the firm and, in conjunction with other teams within the Central Management Team function, support and advise the firm’s partners, departments and fee earners. Finance also provides financial information on a regular basis to the executive committee and to the salary and remuneration committees.
The team currently consists of: a Finance Director, Financial Controller, 2 Business Partners, Credit Manager, Deputy Credit Manager, Credit Controller, Senior Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, Partnership Financial Accountant, AP manager and Expenses Administrator.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Partnership Financial Accountant plays a key role in the firm in ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of all matters relating to Partners Accounting. We are looking for an individual who has experience in managing similar processes and is comfortable dealing directly with Partners and the firms external advisors (e.g. Banks and Tax advisors).
The role is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is a self-starter and passionate about collaborating with others, whilst taking ownership to identify and deliver process improvements. The successful individual will be front and centre in terms of dealing directly with the owners of the business so needs a can-do attitude and a capability to deliver accurate and reliable work.
