Purpose of the Role
The role supports the global partnerships lead in planning, partner management, account servicing, reporting, RFI/RFP delivery, partner communications, and organizing partner-led learning for clients. The global partnerships lead oversees the workload and helps develop the role holder’s skills. The role requires responsible, autonomous management of deliverables and transparency with all stakeholders. The role holder must adapt to different operating models for two major clients.
This position allows the role holder to become a trusted business partner to the client, managing daily relationships and partner-related tasks, providing strategic recommendations, and enhancing the client’s marketing capabilities through collaboration with media owners, AdTech providers, and the wider dentsu business.
Key Responsibilities

Partnership Management:

  • Oversee Client/ Partner Relationships: Guide, support and contribute to the partnership objectives of two clients.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Collaborate with partners to hold regular business reviews, track investment performance, and consolidate comprehensive “value reports” that track partner performance across markets.
  • New Partner Investigation: Undertaking market investigations, RFPs/RFIs and outreach to identify new partners that would enhance Client performance and/ or innovation.
  • Joint Business Plan (JBP) Reporting: Ensuring Client/ Partner JBPs are monitored, delivered against, and where issues arise, they are escalated and resolved as quickly as possible.
  • Develop & Deliver Learning Agendas: Craft and execute the Partnerships agenda at the agency for Client stakeholders – including the crafting of a content calendar for educational webinars featuring leading partners.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cross Function Communication: Build and maintain a strong relationship with key Client stakeholders (e.g. global media leads, local market marketing leads, procurement) serving as their primary point of contact for day-to-day issues.
  • Planning: Coordinate and lead internal and Client meetings, ensuring smooth execution of key events.
  • Delivery Focus: Proactively identify and pursue Client development opportunities.
  • Trusted Advisor: Possess a deep understanding of the Client’s business, including products, services, competitors, and potential brand challenges.
  • Data Analysis: To quantify the impact of the Client’s partnerships programme and demonstrate the value of the Client’s partnerships (e.g. through strategic added value delivery, learning activity, efficiency improvements, innovation initiatives etc.)

Qualifications + Skills

  • A strong relationship-builder who thinks and acts proactively to create regular contact opportunities; shares information, experience, and insight with the Client and/ or partner to build trust and mutual respect.
  • Creative thinking: thinks out of the box in reference to presenting innovative solutions to Client challenges and supporting the wider team.
  • Resilience: adopts energized and enthusiastic approach even when under pressure; able to prioritise and remain calm.
  • Project management: an important part of the role - drawing up plans for delivery of work to deadlines and with all milestones plotted; follows up on key deliverables to ensure prompt delivery and heads off any risk to this with initiative-taking checking in with key stakeholders.
  • Inter-personal: mindful of own actions and the impact they may have on others, both internally, within Carat, and externally with the Client and partners.
  • You will have a track record of identifying solutions that deliver demonstrable business benefit.
  • External market awareness around both Client’s challenges and the media industry.
  • Understands commercial terms of a contract to support the wider team/ Client.
  • Passionate about media and communications. Curious about the industry and always excited to learn about new technologies.
  • Clear understanding of all media KPIs, understand how to build / read a media plan.
  • Strong marketing, media and communications concepts, trends, skills, practices, tools, frameworks, etc. Eager to take on new relevant training where needed.
  • Ability to analyse numerical data and pull out reasonable and rational conclusions.
