Job Description
Position: Partnerships Officer
Location: CAWST is based in Calgary, Alberta
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Reports to: Manager, Global Partnerships
Position Overview: The Partnerships Officer is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of CAWST’s grant portfolio, from application to final reporting. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with funder requirements, managing deadlines, and supporting the broader partnerships team in securing and maintaining key funding relationships. The Partnerships Officer will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that CAWST meets its financial and operational commitments under various grants.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, public policy, business or related field
  • 3+ years writing grants and proposals
  • 3+ years of business development and/or project management experience
  • 3+ years of managing a large institutional grant
  • Experience or a strong interest in international development
  • Experience working for nonprofits, NGO’s and/or Government
  • Experience working with large institutional funders (i.e. USAID, Global Affairs Canada, International Financial Institutions) is strongly preferred.
