Description:
Our client are now recruiting for a Parts Advisor who will ensure accurate estimates for parts, guaranteeing the customer is fully aware of costs, timescales involved etc and managing expectations. Be required to work with individuals, garages and dealerships offering advice on spares, and outgoing orders and deliveries.
Main Duties:
- To ensure the availability of stock in the depot from suppliers for the use in the workshop and customer orders including putting stock away and updating records
- To take orders from customers via telephone and e-mail and advising them on possible requirements.
- To work closely with the Service Department for efficient and effective parts deliveries.
- To ensure trade association policies, procedures and standards are met and all statutory requirements including trading standards are adhered to.
- To raise invoices and take payments via different methods eg accounts, credit cards.
- To maintain a high level of competence for the work to be undertaking by continuous professional development (CPD) by training, reading technical bulletins etc
- To ensure professionalism and quality are maintained at all times in particular with customers and suppliers.
- To assist managers with the introduction of new methods, designed or implicated to improve efficiency.
- To ensure the care, maintenance and safekeeping of all tools, equipment and materials used and report any defects found.
- To comply with the company Safety Policy and other safety procedures and guidelines which are deemed part of this job description. Employees must look after their own health, safety and welfare and be mindful of other persons who may be affected by their acts. Employees must co-operate and comply with management instructions regarding Health and Safety issues and report all accidents, incidents and problems as soon as practicable to their supervisor, manager or other senior members of staff available.
- Performs such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.
3 week rota - working hours;
06:00 - 14:30
08:00 – 16:30
10:00 – 18:30
This job will require you to work 1 in every 4 Saturdays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
