To provide timely, high-quality maintenance and repairs for our robust fleet, we have our dedicated Mort & Co Service Centre team operating out of Pittsworth, Queensland. Specialising in Heavy Vehicles, the team also service the broader agricultural and transport industry.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Parts Interpreter you will support the Manager (Workshop) to manage workshop operations and optimise fleet and customer vehicle parts by:

  • Identifying, interpreting and locating parts required for service and repairs by workshop technicians.
  • Efficiently ordering parts for delivery within expected timeframes.
  • Managing parts inventory and stock control, ensuring high turnover parts are on hand when needed.
  • Advising customers and technicians on correct parts and their usage.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for suppliers, understanding how to source and secure parts at competitive prices.
  • Work to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

To be successful in the Parts Interpreter role you will have:

  • A certificate II in Automotive Sales (desirable not essential), with relevant experience in a service centre environment, interpreting parts for heavy vehicles.
  • C Class drivers licence.
  • Strong industry and inventory software systems Knowledge.
  • Sound communication and customer service skills.
  • Computer literacy, with high attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Safety focus
