Description:
Job Summary:
The Parts Manager at Classic Toyota - Wilkesboro is a pivotal role within the dealership, responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the parts department. This includes ordering, sourcing, inventory management, and sales for both retail and wholesale customers. The Parts Manager must ensure efficient and profitable operations while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients. This is a full-time, base plus commission, technician/skilled labor/contractor role in the auto industry, located in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Parts Manager position at Classic Toyota - Wilkesboro offers a competitive compensation package of $60,000 to $90,000 per year, paid semi-monthly. In addition to base salary, the position also offers the opportunity to earn additional commission based on sales performance. Other benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) retirement plan options.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and lead the parts department, including staff, inventory, and overall operations
- Forecast and procure necessary parts and accessories for the dealership, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient pricing
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Oversee the order fulfillment process for both retail and wholesale customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Supervise and monitor staff performance, providing training and development opportunities as needed
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, providing prompt and satisfactory resolution
- Ensure compliance with all dealership policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, minimizing waste and maximizing profitability
- Utilize appropriate software systems to track and manage inventory levels, customer orders, and sales
- Generate and analyze reports to assess department performance and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- 3+ years of previous experience in parts management, preferably within the auto industry
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in inventory management and tracking software
- Familiarity with sourcing and purchasing processes
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports
- Understanding of basic accounting and financial principles
- Must be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Must be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
