Job Summary:
Petrie Ford is seeking a detail-orientated, organized, and reliable Parts Supervisor to join our Parts team. The Parts Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the parts department along side the Parts Manager. This role involves managing inventory, ordering parts, supervising projects, coordinating with service departments, and ensuring that the parts department operates efficiently. The supervisor works closely with the sales team, mechanics, and service advisors to ensure the right parts are available when needed., and have experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of parts advisors; providing training, assisting with the integration of new parts employees
  • Ensure that staff follows company procedures for parts handling, customer service, and safety
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure parts are stocked and ordered in a timely manner
  • Monitor inventory turnover and order trends to prevent overstock or stockouts
  • Conduct regular stock audits and ensure proper organization of parts
  • Place orders with suppliers based on demand and service requirements
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to keep costs competitive
  • Stay updated on part availability and lead times
  • Maintain a positive and efficient working environment
  • Assist customers with parts inquiries, orders, and returns
  • Work with service advisors to ensure parts are available for scheduled repairs and maintenance
  • Address customer complaints or issues related to parts
  • Work with the service department to ensure parts are available for ongoing repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure all parts are stored and handled in compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Requires experience in automotive parts, inventory management, or a supervisory role
  • Familiarity with automotive parts, models, and how they relate to vehicle repairs
  • Ability to manage inventory, prioritize tasks, and handle a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems (DMS) and inventory management software
