Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Parts technician objective is to support the activity of the maintenance team, maintenance database and inventory systems. They are responsible for the storeroom inventory accuracy and accountability. This includes tracking orders and getting delivery dates, assigning parts to work orders and managing stock parts and ensuring they are logged and in correct locations. The Parts technician will be required to support production line DH activities including PM’s, rebuilds, cleaning, and any other activities that need support. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail and follow through.
REQUIREMENTS
- Resolve order and goods issue discrepancies
- Perform inventory cycle counting
- Maintain the Stores Material Master
- Track parts delivery due dates and vendor scorecards
- Work with vendors
- Track parts ordered against work orders.
- Maintain an accurate status on expected delivery
- Work with mechanics on inventory levels such as min-max settings
- Manage Notification Process, Obtain Quotes from Vendors
- File all paperwork accordingly
- Complete any and all other duties as assigned
- Forklift Certification to send and receive large parts
QUALIFICATION
- 3-5 years working in Parts Technician position
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a group environment.
- Strong proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Mechanical (electrical, mechanical, etc.) knowledge helpful, but not necessary.
- Some weekends required maybe
- Available to be on call when needed
