Description:
Pass Powderkeg is a community-focused ski area owned and operated by the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass that is dedicated to providing an outstanding experience for people of all ages and skill levels. POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager of Pass Powderkeg and Pool, the Food, Beverage and Lodge Supervisor supervises lodge operations, including, but not limited to food and beverage, the ticket office, rental shop, and as well as supervising cleaning of the lodge, cash management and supply ordering for Pass Powderkeg. This position has a key role in insuring we are exceeding guest expectations by creating a friendly, inviting atmosphere.

- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and guest issues
- Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels
- Able to handle and accurately reconcile cash deposits
- Ability to take initiative, be highly organized, effectively communicate and manage groups
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
This position requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Administrative or sales related experience with cash management balancing requirements.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Pro-Serve certified.
- Alberta Approved Food-Safe certified, as per Section 31 of Food Regulation.
- Current first aid certification with CPR, and AED.
The following are an asset:
- Post-secondary education in ski area management, tourism, business, communications or other related field.

Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service.
- Oversee lodge opening and/or closing
- Review and enhance food and beverage procedures for sales, quality and cost recovery.
- Schedule staff for the ticket office, rental shop and food and beverage.
- Process sales, revenue reports, sales reconciliations and other cash management procedures.
- Assist in waiver training for staff, and ensure waivers are being completed accurately.
- Order lodge supplies, including but not limited to janitorial, office supplies, food and beverages.
- Monitor and report retail sales and manage inventory.
- Cover breaks and sick days for front line staff as needed.
- Set bindings and fit equipment for guests.
- Answer phone calls and emails from public and staff.
- Provide ongoing communication between shifts, with supervisors and with staff.
- Ensure all methods of communication are correct and updated regularly.
- Maintain required records, reports and other documentation as required.
- Ensure health and safety of workers under your direction, and escalate any safety concerns to Manager.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and standards set by Pass Powderkeg including manuals, training and employment standards.
- Other related duties as assigned.
