Description:

ALL-DAY DINING – KINGS CROSS

Located in the heart of Kings Cross is our all-day dining eatery Spagnoletti. Our Italian-inspired restaurant aims to create quality dishes from humble ingredients that honor authentic Italian cuisine, while also demonstrating the creativity and distinctive style of Spagnoletti and our new Chef Patron, Adam Simmonds.
As one of the nation’s culinary talents, Simmonds is bringing to Spagnoletti the unmatchable skills gained from working under Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, as well as expertise and knowledge acquired at his first Michelin Star restaurant Ynshir Hall along with his second at Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House.
We are looking for an experienced Pasta Chef with a stable career path and plenty of love for Italian food to work alongside Simmonds and the team.
The ideal candidate will be extremely passionate about Mediterranean cuisine and will be experienced for at least 2 years in fresh pasta making. Having worked in a high-volume operation is essential to be considered for the position as well as having a strong command of Italian cuisine/ingredients.
Headed by a great Chef Patron and Head Chef who are prepared to train and develop their team, the Pasta Chef will have bags of enthusiasm, drive, and ambition. The Pasta Chef will work in a lovely new kitchen with a dynamic team: preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within the company standards in an open space kitchen.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within the company standard and concept
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring standards are met as well as following food hygiene & health and safety rules
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
  • Be extremely well organised and keep the station extremely clean at all times
  • Work alongside the rest of the brigade and communicate efficiently with the entire team, including front-of-house
