Description:

Clay Hill are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team now! We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Learning Support Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
Clay Hill School has an Ofsted rating of Good in all areas, June 2021. Our school is set in a beautiful -rural location in the new Forest National Park.
We are a SEN school specialising in the education and care of children and young people, Primary to secondary school age, who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Responsibilities:

  • Collecting and analysing behaviour incidents
  • Reporting incidents through Engage
  • Updating individual Positive Behaviour Support plans, and individual risk assessments
  • Central point of contact for pastoral support
  • Recording behaviour incidents and co-ordinating pastoral support
  • Effective liaison with staff, parents and students regarding pastoral and behaviour related circumstances
  • Planning and organising pastoral training
  • Delivering whole school pastoral support to individual students when necessary
  • Promoting engagement in learning throughout the school day.
