Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic pastoral staff member to join Ang Mo Kio Methodist Church (TRAC). This person will be instrumental in nurturing youths in their spiritual journeys within our community. Successful candidates will provide Pastoral Support in planning and executing activities with the aim of developing Christian spiritual growth of Youth (ages 11 – 18), working alongside the Young Adults Ministry (ages 19 – 30).

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute events for the Youth Ministry, including Youth Service on Sundays, in collaboration with the Supervising Pastor and Youth Ministry Coordinator.
  • Develop, coach and mentor Youths, equipping them with resources to deepen their Christian education and discipleship.
  • Conduct programs and activities aimed at fostering the spiritual growth of youth and young adults in the church.
  • Manage the administrative and logistical aspects of the Youth Ministry.
  • Support the Youth Family Groups in their activities.
  • Assist in managing the life transition phases of young people, including integration with Young Adults Ministry and the broader church family.
  • Assist in church-wide activities as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Provide administrative support for the ministry.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong interest in the well-being and the lives of people, especially young people.
  • Willingness to work on Sundays and outside regular work hours, with the flexibility to get a time off on a weekday.
  • Able and enthusiastic to collaborate with staff and volunteers, including Supervising Pastor and Youth Ministry Coordinator.
  • Teachable, accountable and cooperative team player.
  • Possess strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement through evaluation and feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/ Degree in Theology/ Divinity or relevant theological studies required. Other related educational qualifications may be considered.
  • Experience in Christian Youth Ministry roles preferred.
