Description:

Al Hallab Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pastry Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Pastry Assistant will work closely with the Pastry Chef to assist in the preparation, decoration, and presentation of a wide variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert decoration, and baking principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to follow directions and standard recipes precisely.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy items when necessary.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: From AED2,800.00 per month

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of a wide variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, bread, and other desserts.
  • Prepare ingredients and ensure that all necessary items are ready for production.
  • Follow detailed recipes and techniques to ensure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry items.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the pastry section, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Decorate and garnish desserts according to specific standards and guest preferences.
  • Assist in inventory management, ensuring that all ingredients and supplies are available and properly stored.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor the quality of finished products, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s high standards.
  • Assist with the preparation of special or seasonal pastry items for promotions or special events.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the pastry area, following hygiene standards.
  • Support the Pastry Chef in the training and development of junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Assist in the maintenance of equipment and tools, reporting any issues for repair or replacement.
